Third edition of the Meet Mexico Road Show 2025: CREATURISMO connects key buyers in San Francisco and Los Angeles

The third edition of Meet Mexico Road Show 2025, an initiative promoted by CREATURISM, was carried out in San Francisco and Los Angeles, bringing together 182 key buyers of the tourism sector. This tour is part of a comprehensive international promotion strategy which seeks to strengthen trade relations with priority issuer markets, especially in the United States and Canada.

During the California tour, representatives of airlines, tour operators, wholesale agencies and tourism associations gathered. The objective was Present Mexico's tourist offer through product exhibitions, structured networking sessions and target presentations, in a format designed for generate high-value business connections between national exhibitors and international buyers.

According to data from CREATURISMO shared with NotiPress, the organization has collected 553 buyers on three tours carried out in 2025, including Chicago, Toronto, Dallas, Houston, San Francisco and Los Angeles. In the words of Rodrigo Hurtado, chief operating officer of CREATURISMO:

“The positive response obtained in Chicago, Toronto, Dallas, Houston, San Francisco and Los Angeles confirms the strong interest of the U.S. and Canadian markets to learn more about Mexico as a tourist destination.”

Regarding Californian participation, Hurtado noted that San Francisco and Los Angeles not only promote leisure tourism to Mexico, but they also generate a constant flow of family trips and recurring visits. Both cities maintain a deep cultural affinity with Mexico, reinforcing their role as strategic points for tourism promotion.

From January to July 2025, Mexico received 8.8 million American tourists by air, with a significant proportion coming from California. Air connectivity from this region is key: Los Angeles is approximately 319 weekly flights to Mexico, while San Francisco provides 132, positioning the West Coast as one of the main international corridors to the country.

Leisure and recreational tourism represents the main travel motivation from these cities to Mexico, followed by Visits to family and friends, influenced by migratory ties. In addition, The average expenditure of travelers from this region exceeds the national average, and the average duration of trips ranges from five to ten days, with a preference for beach, culture and nature destinations.

The initiative Meet Mexico Road Show 2025 is part of the international promotional route for 50º Tianguis Touristic, scheduled for 2026 in Acapulco, Guerrero. The last leg of this tour will take place on November 10 to 14 in New York and Montreal, expanding the commercial and strategic reach of this international campaign.
