“Welcome to Baja California”.

The Tianguis Turística Baja California 2025 officially kicked off with the Opening Ceremony from the Rosarito Beach Hotel as the venue for the kickoff of Mexico's biggest tourist festival.

The most important event in the tourism sector, in its 49th edition, was chaired by the Federal Tourism Secretary, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora in the company of Marina del Pilar Olmeda, Governor of Baja California, as well as the distinguished presence of governors and secretaries of tourism from the 32 states of the Mexican Republic.

“I have the privilege and great honor on behalf of the President of the Republic, Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, to warmly welcome you to the Tianguis Turística México 2025, the first binational market that we are opening today in this land where the homeland, the great state of Baja California, begins.”

In his welcome speech, he highlighted that for the first time they carried out activities on the other side of the border, in San Diego in order to bring their roots closer to the Mexican villagers. He also announced that in this edition there are 75,000 business appointments, 44 countries participate, and will have a daily influx of 10,000 people, in addition to an economic impact of more than 1,350 million pesos.

The event will take place from April 28 to May 1, with the Baja California Center as its headquarters located in the municipality of Rosarito.

It should be noted that Baja California is positioned as the first state in the north to organize this tourist event, in addition to being the first binational tourist market in Mexico, with two venues such as San Diego with”Window to Mexico”.

For her part, Marina del Pilar, Governor of the state of Baja California, stressed that the host state has a privileged geographical position, attracting more than 80 million tourists in the last year, in addition to being a spearhead in medical tourism at the national level, but not only that, since it conquers its visitors with its desert and mountains, with its valley, where the best wines in Mexico emerge, in addition to being surrounded by two seas, which makes it an unparalleled place.

“Arriving at this dreamy moment has represented a union of countless efforts and will; a year ago, being in the wonderful municipality of Acapulco, Guerrero, they gave us the confidence to organize what is the largest tourist event in all of Latin America, our gratitude always to the Secretariat of the Federal Government and of course to the tourism secretariats of the 31 states that have closed ranks with us, thanks to everyone, today in Baja California we open our hearts to everyone,” Marina del Pilar shared in her welcome dialogue, Governor of Baja California.

During the Tianguis Tourism 2025, Baja California will deliver the courier to Guerrero, the state that saw the birth of this tourist event that became itinerant some years ago.
